A Reading with Hattie Bryson


Hattie Bryson visits City Lights Bookstore on Saturday, April 13th at 3:00pm to present her book, Walking Through the Cracks of Life: A Personal Reflection on Perseverance and Healing from Past Hurts, a book about walking through life’s ups and downs with perseverance and grace, healing from past wounds, and living another day to talk about it. 

Hattie Bryson grew up in a Christian home. She was raised in a family of eight (four girls and four boys). Hattie has two girls and six grandchildren, and one son-in-law. She grew up in Sylva, NC and presently resides in Anderson, SC. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Leadership, a Master’s in Business Administration and Organizational Management from Ashford University, and became an early childhood teacher for more than 30 years. She is currently the Program Director at Clemson Childhood Development Center in Clemson, SC. Hattie was called into the ministry in 2000. During her life, she encountered mountains of losing her mother, overcoming depression and endometrial cancer. During these times she continued to serve in her church, Tabernacle of Deliverance and Praise in Anderson, SC. Her faith in God is the strength of her journey along with the prayers from the saints.
