Patsy McClure’s Book on the Addie Community

Patsy McClure will present her book, Addie, at City Lights Bookstore on Saturday, March 9th at 3 p.m. In Addie: Memories of a Hobo’s Daughter, Patsy journeys into the past of the unincorporated Jackson County, NC community of Addie. Located along US 74 west of Willets-Ochre Hill, Addie was founded in the 1880’s when a work camp for the construction of the Murphy Branch Western North Carolina Railroad set up in the vicinity.
