Moonshine Materials

Selling a bulky crop like corn, particularly when it's grown in a remote mountain setting, presents many challenges.  Resourceful farmers from the southern Appalachian region figured out years ago that with little more than a copper worm (condenser), and a hot fire, their corn harvest could be converted to ethanol.  Once concentrated by the distilling process, the commodity could be more easily moved to market.  The rich history of moonshining has inspired a number of books, songs and movies.  Here's a selection of the related materials we typically stock at City Lights Bookstore.
