Join us for a brown bag lunch (or one from Spring Street Cafe) on Thursday, June 24th at 12:00 noon with author Maurice Stanley. Many of you may be familiar with Stanley because of his popular book The Legend of Nance Dude. His newest book is historical fiction based on the life of Jesse James and his associates, entitled Sorrows End. Taken from the real life of Henry Baker, the novel traces what happened after James' 1876 bank raid in Northfield, Minnesota, after which James went into hiding with his family in the quiet town of Waverly, Tennessee. Baker was a new neighbor, and he became ensnared by the James brothers' life of crime. Stanley's previous novel is entitled Midwinter, which tells the story of Frankie Silver. Bring your lunch, or order one from downstairs, and join us for conversation with the author. Location:
