Join us on Saturday afternoon, March 6th at 1:00 p.m. for a program with Jeanne Webster, of Macon County's Otto community, who will read from her new novel, Strays. The even is a fundraiser for ARF, and 10% of the book's sales at the reading will be donated by City Lights to ARF. Donations will also be accepted. "In Strays, Webster sagely guides us on a revealing journey about the importance of animals and the environment to our whole existence - physical and spiritural. The scruffy canine Max is sure to win hearts of readers of this inspiring story," says Karen L. Allanach, who works with the Humane Society of the United States as Associate Director of their program, Animals and Religion. Webster will read selections from the book and discuss how she came to write it. An autographing will follow her remarks. For more information, please call City Lights at 586-9499. | ||
