City Lights Bookstore is in Sylva, North Carolina, a small Main Street town tucked in the heart of the southern Appalachian Mountains. Our goal is to share the literature of the region with the world, and the world of books with our community.
My name is Chris Wilcox. As owner of City Lights Bookstore, I want to hear about it if you have anything short of a great experience here. Please call my mobile phone:
As we live in a mountainous area, I sometimes don't get my voice mails immediately, but I will get back with you.
ONE TURN OFF THE FOUR-LANE
We are located at the corner of Spring and Jackson Streets in downtown Sylva, North Carolina where we're open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mon.-Sat. and 10-3 on Sundays. To get to our store from Hwy. 74/23, take Exit 83 onto Grindstaff Cove Road. Follow this about a quarter mile into the town of Sylva. Cross the train tracks, Mill Street, and Main Street, then take a left at the T-intersection at Schulman Street (extension of Grindstaff Cove Rd.), and Jackson Street. The bookstore is two blocks east where Jackson Street makes a little jog left, and becomes East Jackson Street at its intersection with Spring Street. If parking on East Jackson is full, look for consistently available spaces at the First United Methodist Church parking lot catty corner to us.
